LANNA CHRISTIAN CENTER NEWS Funds Needed for Tsunami Evangelism
Rick and Walter have had an impact in these two communities. Several families have been won to the Lord, and others are interested in learning more about Jesus. The concern now is how to follow up on these victories.

Long Term Strategic Plan for Tap Tawan David and Boolert will be working with Rick, Walter, and others to develop and implement a long term strategic plan for establishing a church in Tap Tawan village. The plan will include recruiting and sending a full time evangelist to live in Tap Tawan. We will begin recruiting from among our graduates in the coming months. Pray for us and for Rick and Walter as we work together to bring God’s kingdom to Tap Tawan. Pray God provides the right family to be His evangelist.

LCC
needs $2,700 to finance March outreach to tsunami survivors. On January
27-29 David Filbeck (LCC President) and Boonlert Somniyam (Academic Dean)
visited Thailand’s Pang Nga province, site of the December 26, 2004 tsunami
that devastated Thailand’s western seaboard. The purpose of the trip was to
survey the area to see how LCC can serve a new church being planted in Ta
Kua Pa District. Missionaries Rick Walden (vice-chair LCC Board) and Walter
Ridgley (LCC Board Member) have been building boats and houses in Tap Tawan
and Nam Khem villages. This area was the hardest hit in Thailand. Nam Khem town suffered the greatest, with over
2,000 people lost.
